The Northern Frontier Foundation (NFF) is the vision of Dean Pradal, who has funded the Foundation as its principal philanthropist. Dean has assembled a Board of Directors with similar vision and long-term commitment to encourage the betterment of society and local communities in need.
Inspired by successful programs undertaken in North-east Arnhem Land combining sport, education and health initiatives, NFF aims to support disadvantaged youth in Cape York community achieve their dreams and goals and set leadership examples for others in the region. Our focus is on empowerment, helping young people create better lives for themselves and, in turn, their communities.
The NFF is based in Cairns, the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef in the pristine environment of Far North Queensland. To assist in the sustainable protection of our local environment, the NFF will support the continued research into methods and programs to protect the Great Barrier Reef through research grants, education and awareness programs.
To continue the long-standing support previously provided by the Board in their individual capacities, NFF intends to contribute to institutions and charities such as Cairns Hospital, James Cook University, Far Northern region schools, the Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation, the Cardiac Challenge, Race to the Top charity run and cancer research.
